Skin Pyramid
The skin pyramid I have put together is not the first of its kind but it does offer some valuable insight into what lifestyle behaviours are important to maintain healthy skin. The foundation layer of the pyramid which is titled ‘Daily AM/PM’ comprises of the basics elements of skin care, or the ‘Non-negotiables’.
As we move up the pyramid the skin care treatments are more and more optional unless there is a disfunction or concern that needs further intervention planned for throughout the week, month and/or year. The treatments I have included are on the service menu at Le Skin Code and all have been selected as I believe whole-heartedly in their abilities to transform the appearance and function of skin over time. I always think good things come when we get the basics right and build from there.
An analogy I use often to explain skin and treatment result is - if you go to the gym consistantly and regulary, workout the whole body and complement this with a wholesome, balanced, nutrient dense diet you will see the results in a quicker time frame that will be more easily maintained due to healthy lifestyle habits, discipline and dedication. If I went to the gym inconsistantly and consumed foods that are lacking vital nutrients and meals that are not well planned for the results will be slower to see and feel and it will be harder to stay on track. The results will still be there but not as good as they could be and if you want the best you have to do your best.
So skin needs to be prepared and looked after prior to any treatment journey to ensure it recovers well and results are seen in timely fashion.
